WoT performance (Eden read this)

Post by Deldrin on Fri Dec 28, 2012 2:23 am

Thanks again Eden for trying to help me fixing my issues with crashing WoT and none of them helped but I've finally found out what was causing all of this.

GPU Drivers. I've been using R310 version and I knew latest drivers are not good for my graphics card.
I just uninstalled them, and installed oldest available all problems gone.
I guess I've ordered that RAM without thinking it trough but hey, that's just RAM and it's not like I'm gonna get mobo with DDR3 soon.

Valk and (or) Gordon: don't recommend people updating graphic drivers at the drop of a hat (don't remember which one of you said me that, probably both of you)

Troubleshooting by guessing might be fun, but it's not the proper way to solve a problem.
Next time I'll ask at least for a dxdiag before saying what to do. Derpy Hooves
BTW, now, thanks to me, you don't need to buy more RAM, and you can raise your settings until your pc freezes Razz

Technically, I didn't say anything about updating. To quote:

I guess it's not software problem then unless you have incompatible drivers somehow.
So to some degree I've suggested you the proper solution. ^^

I have no idea what drivers I have, Win7 installed them automatically after sustem reinstall. No updates, everything works. Who need updates? Very Happy

That's how it works for me too. Never change a running system. A friend of mine told me not to mess around with driver updates as long as everything's working fine and you're not into 3D-gaming or stuff like that.
