They were looking for your friendly CV? I guess they were too stupid to follow the planes.

That appears to be the case. Well they are pretty useless this way.

They are just doing the Kongo mission Very Happy
Apart from that, the only carriers you will ever see are T4 and some T8

More info about team battles:

Teams are permanent, one player creates the team (it costs 300k credits) and sets a name for it.
Teams are T8, 7 players.

Most successful setup seems to be:
2 BBs (main damage dealers)
1 CV (workhorse of the fleet: spotting/AA/flooding/fires/heavy damage/DD sniping)
4 support ships, usually 2CAs-2DDs/1CA-3DDs/4DDs

Was very nice, 4 almost full repairs later I was around 3k HP at the end. I got lucky and took down a turret on the North Carolina you can see in the background, probably the reason we won. 145k damage is not too bad either, tho I mostly dished 0 damage salvos into this NC's front.

I dont believe in wg matchmaker after years of grind in wot. Plus pve is more calm and relaxing, simply if you are depressed from game, you shouldnt play it.
